Idea

Men’s mental health is often overlooked due to societal expectations, stigma, and lack of accessible resources. Many men struggle with depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions but are less likely to seek help compared to women. This initiative aims to raise awareness, break the stigma, and provide actionable solutions to support men’s mental well being.

Goal of this 

The goal of this project is to create an engaging and interactive poster that educates people about men’s mental health statistics while encouraging conversations around solutions. This poster will serve as both an awareness tool and a resource hub, providing people with data driven insights and practical strategies to support men’s mental health.

Poster Concept

The poster will have two key components:

1. Sticky Notes with Statistics

• The poster will feature numerous sticky notes with eye-opening statistics related to men’s mental health. These notes will highlight key facts such as:

• “Men are four times more likely to die by suicide than women.”

• “Only 40% of men with mental health issues seek professional help.”

• “Work related stress and financial pressures significantly contribute to men’s mental health struggles.”

• “Social isolation is a major risk factor for men’s depression.”

• The purpose of these sticky notes is to visually engage people while emphasizing the importance of men’s mental well-being.

2. Solution Box: Take a Note, Take Action

• Next to the poster, a box filled with solution focused notes will be available for people to take. Each note will contain actionable steps, such as:

• “Check in on a male friend today ask how he’s really doing.”

• “Encourage open conversations about emotions breaking the stigma starts with you.”

• “Exercise regularly physical activity has been proven to improve mental health.”

• “Seek professional help when needed mental health is just as important as physical health.”

• This interactive element ensures that people leave with practical tools to promote mental wellness.

Implementation Plan

1. Design and Placement

• The poster will be placed in high traffic areas such as college campuses, workplaces, community centers, and gyms to maximize visibility.

• The sticky notes and solution box will be refilled regularlyto maintain engagement.
