Q 1
"Lambert works best from his studio, surrounded by all his tools and materials. Sometimes, when he can’t get there, he works from home. But since being creative for him looks a lot like spacing out to others, he puts on a special, bright-yellow “I’m-being-creative-don’t bother-me” hat to ward off well-meaning incursions and conversations from his partner. You don’t need to do this (and Lambert’s partner sometimes wishes he wouldn’t). Having a space to be creative, more practically, also means preparing a physical space to work. It needs to be clear of clutter so that we don’t have to search for the tools and materials we need. With ample space to spread out to write and draw, and with everything we need visible and accessible, we create a space that fosters creativity. If this kind of space doesn’t exist in your home or workplace, find another location. In fact, leaving your normal surroundings can help promote the kind of break from habitual thinking necessary for new ideas. When he was working on his last book, Duncombe found that cafés provided the best environment for him to think, write, and be creative. But only certain cafés: those that had no internet access so he wouldn’t check his e-mail; that were far enough away from home and school so he wouldn’t run into anyone he knew; and that played music he didn’t like so he wouldn’t hum along and get distracted. Then he could write."

R1
Being bored help with being creative / your mind wander. Now there is alot more distractions with a example phones that can keep out of that state.

Q2

"A man learns to skate by staggering about and making a fool of himself. Indeed, he progresses in all things by resolutely making a fool of himself.”

in order to get better at something you need to start. Making fool of self doesn't really matter how bad it is as long as you do the thing.

Q1
"in our Workshops, when we reach the history section we like to start with the example of Jesus"

R1
I thought it was interesting that they used
Jesus as an example for art art activism. Also with how his messge and what he done got misinterpreted in the text it said "His message was
not “I do this all for you,” as we’ve been taught, but instead “I am not
your savior; you need to do it yourself.”

Q2
"Parks’s action is well known, with many attributing it to have propelled the civil rights movement into the public eye, but the story  behind it is lesser known: it was a planned performance by an accomplished political actor. Parks was an experienced activist and political organizer who trained at the Highlander Center, a progressive politics and cultural training center in Tennessee"

R2
I didnt know it was planed as performance. In the text it said ,"her act was also a planned performance intended to dramatize the reality of racial inequality to a larger world that either didn’t know or didn’t care. And it worked" I didn't knew of the story but not about the rest of it.
