Watching Perennial Land left me with a mix of calm and deep reflection. The serene visuals of nature and impactful statistics and effects made the installation's message clear; what we’re peacefully admiring is precisely what we’re destroying. The side-by-side contrast between nature’s beauty and the damage we’re causing was powerful, and the closing line, “Nature does not need us. We need nature,” stuck with me. Even if it doesn’t always feel immediate, the climate crisis is pressing, and we need to act before the damage becomes irreversible.
